Hibiscus agua fresca quickly felt right for Madre Frescas. It has a deep ruby color, a tart floral flavor, and the kind of refreshing finish that works especially well in Austin weather.
Balancing sweetness
The drink needed enough sweetness to feel complete without becoming heavy. The goal was a fresher profile that could sit next to sourdough, cinnamon, coffee, and healthier sweets.
